Trimmings are used to decorate or complete the wrapped gift to give that personal touch or make the gift stand out. This can be done with ribbon, tags, bow or other embellishments. Here we had also included cards that can accompany any gift or sent separately for a special occasion.

Occasion cards or postcards can be given for many reasons, for exchanging thoughts and memories. Spending time choosing the perfect card is very thought-provoking and meaningful, especially too for the recipient of the card. Sending a card can be a simple yet effective act of kindness.

Ribbon is probably seen as one of the essentials for gift wrapping to create that final flourish. The wrapping adds a charming touch and increases the anticipation of opening up the gift. A good ribbon is also versatile enough that you can get creative by placing off centre, running side by side down the middle of the gift or tying more than one bow on top.

There are different types of ribbon available from satin, grosgrain, curling, wired to organza. Acetate satin is one of the few biodegradable ribbons on the market, manufactured using wood pulp from environmentally friendly methods, this ribbon has a slightly stiffer feel over satins.

A tag either matching, handmade or a sticker are normally used to covey a message with a gift. However, they are increasingly used as decorative items on gifts.
